Not so long ago, I found out about Bit torrents. A useful way of sharing large files, when the download actually speeds up with more people sharing the file.
Anyway, I've had mixed success, so if anyone who stumbles across this site would like to tell me some decent sites to find torrents on, then please comment. Ta.
Tikkabilla Presenter Veejay
Today I received the
Tikkabilla email from
the BBC which confirmed Tamba's new friend. Her name, as my 3 year old so nearly said correctly, is Veejay Kaur.
It appears that she joins Simon Davies, Sarah-Jane Honeywell, Justin Fletcher, Paul Ewing and Lorna Laidlaw, with Beverley Hills now departing. Beverley will no doubt reappear after a accident requiring hospital treatment in
Casualty, or requiring some sort of operation in
Holby City. I jest, but I do wish
Beverley well for the future. It looks like she has plenty of work to be going on with.
So Veejay has been in a few things. Apparently she was born in Peterborough, just like my good self, but I don't remember ever bumping into her in
Queensgate. Anyway, here she is from the play 'Reesham (Silk)' that formed part of a triple bill called 'The Cornershop' in 2001.
Let's enjoy the new third series of Tikkabilla!

Digital Radio
I love
Digital Radio, free from the crackle and hiss, and the interruptions from your local cab office.
I've had a
Pure Digital Evoke-1 since October 2002, although I
ordered it in July that year. You may remeber the hype and delays that dogged early production. At least they are now in abundance at only £89.99.
Now I may not listen to all the stations available, and most of the time it just plays out
XFM, but the ease of use, the simplicity, and the fact that the quality of sound never falters, has made me inseperable from it.
So now the future...
A DAB digital radio with a built in hard drive for recording, pauing live radio and everything else, just like
Sky+. I know that your computer hard drive could do the job for you, but that gets under pressure enough as it is, so when I saw these two new models I thought, "How can I justify to my wife that one of these items could save and enhance our lives, and I need to spend some hard earned cash on it?"
Take a look:
The bug designed by Red or Dead's Wayne Hemingway or
The Pure digital Legato Hi-Fi system at £349.
Now where did I put that betting slip where I predicted a Portugal - Greece final... If only.

New Tikkabilla Presenter
So these are two pictures I've taken of my
lovely 100Hz TV and it just happened to be showing Tikkabilla again! And guess what, they show the new presenter! I'm going to take a guess and say her name is 'Fijay.' At least that's what my 3 year old tells me her name is...
Apologies if that is nowhere near right, but that's the internet for you!
